My friend Steve Morgan and I share the bond of prior service in the same branch of the military. Over the years, we often spoke about the patriotism and pride we mutually felt for having had the privilege to serve our country.

Although I experienced many physical disabilities resulting from my time in service, I was unaware for many years of the benefits available through the Department of Veterans Affairs. Through conversations with military friends like Steve regarding my physical conditions, I learned that benefits and resources were available to veterans.

Steve inspired me to begin my journey toward applying for those benefits. He was always willing to answer questions, provide guidance, and direct me toward helpful resources throughout the process.

Today, I am rated 100% Permanent and Total through the VA. Were it not for the guidance and encouragement of caring veterans like Steve, I may never have understood the benefits available to me or how to successfully navigate the VA claims process.

Steve, thank you for your genuine care, support, and concern regarding my physical disabilities. I am forever grateful for your friendship and guidance.
